That can’t be possible…
Watch the video clip below and as the balls roll uphill consider what the explanation is. In doing so you are challenging everyday assumptions as you know it can’t be true – but it is true but the initial assumptutions and everyday rules that we use to shortcut thinking are not reliable as truth is an unreliable and artificial shortcut concept (we create our own truths). Now take the concept of the unreliability as a visual illusion and apply to everyday cognitive illusions – how many times do we get something wrong by basing something upon previous experiences? Equally how often do we simply accept an idea / concept whilst not challenging or scrutinising as we might scrutinise this visual illusion. Finally how often do we get the opportunity to see something obvious from the other side?
