I recently attended the GEMS Education – Teacher Excellence Through Collaboration Conference (Dubai) and was part of the keynote panel discussion above. Central to the key messages throughout the day was the need for collaboration across schools.
It is interesting to think how embedded this concept is within the English education system, particularly when reflecting upon the London and Manchester challenge, and whilst such collaboration is part of many education systems – the structures to create and sustain such developments are not always so obvious. Central to development in any context is however the critical need for domain knowledge as what we equally know is that policies are not easily transportable and don’t always travel well!
